Learn chainsaw carving live online with Ryan Cook. Watch the demonstration, carve your own version during the week, then bring it back for practical feedback.

  • November 15, 2026: Carve a tree
  • November 22: Review your trees and carve a bear
  • November 29: Review your bears and carve an owl
  • December 6: Owl review, carving talk, questions and feedback

How it works

Watch during class and carve afterward at your own pace. Email three clear photos of each project to ryan@sawvalley.com at least 48 hours before the next class. Joining instructions, preparation details, and T-shirt size and delivery arrangements will be sent to the email used at checkout before the first session.

Before you book

This is beginner carving instruction for people who can already operate their chainsaw safely. You supply your own wood, suitable carving tools, PPE and safe workspace. Tools and materials are not included.

Sessions and group project reviews are recorded for enrolled students. You can keep your camera off and request anonymous project feedback. Public promotional use of your face, voice or work requires separate permission.

Cancellations

For a full course refund, email ryan@sawvalley.com before the first class begins on November 15 at 9 a.m. PST. After the course starts, missed sessions are covered by replays. If Ryan cancels the course, you receive a full refund; if a session must be rescheduled, you can choose the replacement date or a refund for that session.
